The Fordahl Group based in Switzerland and FOQ Piezo Technik GmbH based in Germany have signed a Management, Commercial and Technical agreement that will lead to the creation of the largest European crystal and oscillator manufacturing group.

This initiative is not only aimed at strengthening Fordahl-FOQ’s activities in the crystal and oscillator market worldwide, but will also enable customers to benefit from a wider product range through one single commercial channel. It is claimed that the combination of the merged group’s three factories, engineering and commercial teams will enable it to provide the best technical and cost-effective solutions to any requirements under one single umbrella.

Together Fordahl and FOQ represent more than 60 years experience in the crystal and oscillator field, with more than 100 employees worldwide dedicated to supporting customers and the combination of the two most modern oscillator production lines available in Europe. In addition, it also includes a high level crystal line capable of producing up to the tightest SC-cut specifications needed for high-end OCXOs. The target of the new group is to offer customers high performance in all aspects of the business and a true low total cost of ownership.

Nils Engdahl has been appointed as the new CEO of FOQ Piezo Technik GmbH. This common management now makes it possible to lead the two companies as one and to continue developing efforts toward being totally dedicated to the customer base and improve service and support.
