Swedish-based manufacturer of high performance cables, Habia Cable AB has received the GOST-R certificate that will help the company to sell its products into the Russian market. The manufacturer, which is part of the Beijer Alma group of companies, has a global presence in more than 40 countries and specializes in developing, manufacturing and selling cables and cable systems for demanding market sectors including telecom, defense, nuclear and general industrial applications.

Habia Cable initiated the GOST-R certification process in the spring of 2007. Following an audit at the company’s factory in Söderfors, Sweden and tests in Russian laboratories, the certificate has now been issued for a wide range of products.

Mattias Kranz, country sales manager CIS at Habia Cable, said, “This will mean a lot for our next step — expanding the Russian market. Many customers are asking for this certificate and it will help us a lot in the sales process.”
