EDI CON China 2016, taking place April 19-21 in Beijing at the China National Convention Center (CNCC), is pleased to announce Dr. Eli Brookner’s participation as a keynote speaker and course instructor covering advancements in radar and phased array technology. Dr. Brookner will provide a keynote speech at the China Radar Industry Association conference (partnering with CCPIT) that is co-located with EDI CON China 2016 on the latest Advancements in Radar and Phased Array Technology on Thursday, April 21. Dr. Brookner will also teach a two-hour course on the latest Phased Array and MIMO Radar Technology as part of the EDI CON 2016 conference on Wednesday, April 20. EDI CON China 2016 will feature a full day track on radar technology including the latest in semiconductor technology, device and system design, and measurement/modeling of radar components and systems. The program will benefit engineers from local aerospace/defense companies and institutes as well as other international defense companies, and provides a chance to network with experts in the field.

Dr. Eli Brookner is renowned for his contributions to radar technology. He retired from Raytheon as Principal Engineering Fellow in 2014 after a long and distinguished career spanning more than 50 years. He has contributed to radars for air traffic control, defense, space and navigation – virtually every major defense radar program. Eli has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including Fellow of the IEEE, AIAA, and MSS; the 2006 IEEE Dennis J. Picard Medal for Radar Technology and Application; and the 2003 IEEE Warren White Award. He has written numerous papers and articles and four books on radar systems, phased arrays and tracking. Eli received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the City College of New York and his master’s and Dr.Sc. from Columbia University.

EDI CON China 2016 recently announced the co-location of the China Radar Industry Association Conference and EMC China Conference/Exhibition. Organizers expect to attract more than 3,000 attendees during the 3-day event with 80 paper sessions and more than 30 workshops and panels. The technical sessions will be organized around tracks focused on RF, microwave and high-speed digital design, RF/microwave modeling and measurement, EMC/EMI, high-speed digital modeling and measurement, system-level measurements and modeling, and systems engineering.
