Microwave Products Group® (MPG), composed of Dow-Key Microwave and K&L Microwave, announced the opening of a new office in Stockholm, Sweden. This new location significantly enhances MPG’s ability to serve new and existing customers in Scandinavia. It also supports company initiatives to improve customer relations and corporate growth globally. To head the new MPG sales office, Fredrik Knutsen has been named Scandinavian regional sales manager.

The companies within MPG are leading manufacturers of microwave filters, microwave switches, switch filter banks and switching solutions for applications ranging from commercial and military to wireless and Hi-Rel Space. “The microwave market is rapidly growing in Scandinavia,” says Dave Wightman, president of Microwave Products Group. “Establishing a firm presence in Sweden will enable us to better meet market demand, as well as grow our sales and marketing efforts across the Scandinavian region.”

In his new position, Knutsen will manage all sales activity in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and Finland), promoting RF products of both Dow-Key Microwave and K&L Microwave. He will also oversee customer service and technical support in the region. Knutsen will report to MPG’s European Sales Office, which is headed by Andrew Stringer.

Knutsen comes to MPG with significant experience in the microwave component and systems industry. Prior to joining MPG, he spent five years at OEM Electronics AB, where he served as sales and marketing services manager.

Knutsen can be reached by e-mail at Fredrik.Knutsen@kleurope.com or phone at +46 708 65 19 67. The new office is located in Stockholm, Sweden, Frodingsvagen 2, 1 tr. 11256.
