Using Calibration to Optimize Performance in Crucial Measurements
Valpey Fisher Corp., a provider of high performance integrated products for timing and frequency control announced it expanded the frequency range offered in its VFH3225, the industry’s smallest size High Reliability/Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) oscillator which offers outstanding performance for military applications. The device now works from 25 to 160 MHz. It delivers frequency stability of ±50 ppm over -55° to +125°C in a miniature 3.2 x 2.5 mm SMD package. Military Group A, B, or C testing is available for the device.
Introduced and showcased at MILCOM 2011 (booth #2025) in Baltimore, MD, the VFH3225 is a low power device with CMOS output and supply voltages of 3.3 V, 2.8 V, 2.5 V or 1.8 V. Typical current consumption is as low as 8 mA and to minimize battery drain the device also has an output enable/disable option. Its miniature size, 3.2 x 2.5 mm, allows for efficient use of board space and product designs expansion.
“At Valpey Fisher, our products continue to evolve to meet the needs of many applications,” says John Fortune, Director of Sales and Marketing for Valpey Fisher. “The new frequency range of the VFH3225 allows the part to be in more industrial and military designs where board space it at a premium and high temperature operation is a requirement.”
