Abstract:
For most 5G testing at mmWave frequencies, the Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) method has been identified as the best approach. In this presentation we look at the CATR solution and compare it to other techniques. Then cover the important performance characteristics of a CATR system, how a CATR evaluated, and what are the performance limitations and tradeoffs.

Presenter Bio:
Vince Rodriguez is the manager of the chamber engineering group at NSI-MI Ametek. He is the author of over 100 conference and journal papers and of book on the subject of anechoic chambers and book chapters on the subject of 5G measurements. he is secretary of the IEEE STD 149-2021 working group and of the IEEE STD 1128 working group and serves as co-chair on the IEEE STD 1720 WG.
