IQD Frequency Products has launched a range of high frequency Oven Controlled Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillators (OCVCSOs). Three frequencies are currently available in the OCVCSO series, 400MHz, 800MHz and 1.2GHz and they are packaged in a 25.4 x 22 x 13.2mm industry standard SMD package.

Silicon Labs announced a new family of secure, ultra-low-power Zigbee® system-on-chip (SoC) devices designed for eco-friendly IoT products deployed in mesh networks. The EFR32MG22 (MG22) family expands Silicon Labs’ Zigbee portfolio by delivering the smallest, lowest power SoCs optimized for Zigbee Green Power applications. Based on Silicon Labs’ Wireless Gecko Series 2 platform, the MG22 SoCs are an ideal choice for Zigbee devices powered by coin cell batteries or energy-harvesting sources. Target applications include smart home sensors, lighting controls, and building and industrial automation.

Qualcomm Technologies has announced ultraSAW technology, a proprietary SAW filter technology for mobile front-ends from 600 MHz to 2.7 GHz. ultraSAW products are beginning production, and Qualcomm expects phones using the technology to be commercially available during the second half of 2020.

The R&S CMW platform of Bluetooth® testers already support the new Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) version  5.2 power control test routines. These are the only T&M instruments that measure all specified RF tests up to Bluetooth LE 5.0 via the air interface. This unique solution has already been submitted to the Bluetooth® SIG for the specification of a new Bluetooth LE test mode.
