Centro de Tecnología de las Comunicaciones S.A. (AT4 wireless), Spain, has obtained qualification for testing the new Wi-Fi CERTIFIED<\#170> 802.11n draft 2.0 program of the Wi-Fi Alliance®. In the process, the Authorized Test Laboratory (ATL) of the Wi-Fi Alliance has become the only laboratory in Europe to be qualified for testing the new certification program. This qualification process allows a reduced group of laboratories selected by the alliance to offer certification services.

Fernando Hardasmal, deputy general manager at AT4 wireless, commented, “This new certification program complements AT4 wireless’s services portfolio for wireless devices vendors. The offer includes not only all Wi-Fi Alliance interoperability services, Bluetooth® certification and WiMAX Forum®, but also Regulatory testing and International Type Approval (ITA) services.”

Wi-Fi Alliance managing director Frank Hanzlik stated, “We are pleased to have AT4 wireless among the first labs to become qualified. AT4 wireless’s demonstrated commitment to on-time readiness has helped us achieve this important industry milestone on time, with enough testing capacity to support all of our member companies worldwide.”
