Taiyo Yuden of Japan, one of the most important Bluetooth Qualification Test Facilities in the world, has purchased the BITE RF Tester V2.0+EDR (T1111) and the BITE Protocol Tester V1.2/V2.0+EDR (T1212) from AT4 wireless in order to expand its Bluetooth testing capabilities to support the Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) RF and Protocol test cases according to the official Test Case Reference List (TCRL).

AT4 wireless, formerly CETECOM Spain, successfully installed the BITE Test Systems at the Taiyo Yuden EMC Center located in Gunma (Japan) and supplied the appropriate training to manage both testers.

The two companies are also collaborating in several areas such as International Type Approval, Bluetooth Qualification, Testing Activities, etc.

Juan Manuel Hidalgo, AT4 wireless’s short range wireless business unit manager, commented, “We are very pleased with this recently signed partnership with Taiyo Yuden, which has a very good reputation in the Bluetooth testing field and its technical staff have proved themselves to be highly qualified. I am fully convinced that the co-operation between both companies will result in a strong synergy that will cover not only Bluetooth, but also other technologies.”

Kenzo Furuta, BQTF manager at Taiyo Yuden, replied, “We have evaluated and fully implemented the EDR tester which can be used for both Bluetooth development and qualification work.

It is very important for us to verify the entire functions of the tester from a BQTF and ISO17025 accredited test house point of view. We have successfully achieved this exercise due to the excellent technical support from AT4 wireless.

We are very happy to provide fully extensive Bluetooth qualification test services to our customers. Also, we are looking forward to expanding our mutual co-operation with AT4 wireless for radio equipment testing technology, not only Bluetooth, but other current and future radio standards.”
