Sivers Semiconductors AB announced that the company has received two volumes orders totaling SEK 7 million. The orders are for RFICs to be used for licensed and unlicensed 5G products. The RFICs will be delivered during Q1 and Q2 2021.

“It is very encouraging to see that we are now receiving volumes orders from the North American market. These orders will be delivered in the first half of 2021 and are just the first of many orders that we expect to ship to these customers going forward. Furthermore, we expect several customers to start real rollouts this year, and that we will see an acceleration when more customers enter the volume stage.” said Anders Storm, Group CEO of Sivers Semiconductors.

Sivers Wireless has previously communicated 24 design wins for licensed and unlicensed 5G products, where customers have existing agreements or ongoing design and development activities with Sivers’ products. Both orders come from North American customers that have been listed as design wins.

According to Markets and Markets report “5G Fixed Wireless Access Market,” the overall 5G fixed wireless access system market (note: the full system market, not RFIC market) was valued at USD 503 million in 2020 and is projected to reach USD 86,669 million by 2026, implying a CAGR of 136 percent from 2020 to 2026.
