AtlanTecRF has launched its high-spec stock programme by offering same-day despatch on its miniature drop-in X-Band amplifiers complete with MIL-883 high reliability screening. Recognising that designers of high reliability microwave systems often need high specification components at short notice, the company has implemented its plans to provide such products from stock with the introduction of its model AGM-1005-15 amplifier, which covers the full 8 to 12 GHz frequency range.

This miniature amplifier with a plan area similar to that of a postage stamp is supplied with SMA female connectors for testing. These connectors can be removed to allow the unit to drop directly into MIC substrates in systems, both military and commercial, where high reliability is a must.

“Time is crucial, not only in commercial circles but also for quick response military projects with high reliability agendas and our solution is to offer high specification wideband components already screened to MIL-883, therefore avoiding extended delivery schedules for these urgent projects,” commented AtlanTecRF CEO Geoff Burling.

This first product offering is a 10 dB amplifier gain block with +18.5 dBm output power at 1 dB GCP and typically 4 dB noise figure. It operates from a +15 V DC supply drawing less than 100 mA. The operating temperature range is -55+ to 85ºC while the included MIL-883 screening encompasses pre-cap inspection, stabilisation bake, temperature cycling, burn-in, acceleration, vibration as well as gross and fine leak testing.

These amplifiers are suitable for cascading for increased gain amplification chains and are delivered complete with RF test data and screening certification. Availability is from stock.
