Anite, a global leader in wireless network testing technology, announced that its upcoming versions of Nemo Outdoor, Nemo Invex II, Nemo Handy and Nemo Walker Air support 3 Carrier Aggregation (CA) and Category 9 devices.

Operators worldwide have been rolling out LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) networks with the first phase of Carrier Aggregation with 2 carrier components in use. The upcoming Carrier Aggregation with 3 carrier components will enable operators to reach maximum theoretical speeds of up to 450 Mbps. For end-users this means faster access to the internet, smoother content streaming, and improved mobile services. For operators this means higher and more flexible capacity.

“Our customers need access to the latest testing technologies as soon as new features are in trials,” says Kai Ojala, CTO at Anite’s Network Testing business. “Supporting 3 Carrier Aggregation Cat 9 proves Anite’s commitment to continuous product development supporting the latest wireless broadband technologies. Another industry first for Anite and our Nemo product line,” he concludes.
