In Denmark, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Aarhus University, faculty of science and technology and Terma have partnered on an F-35 master internships program taking place at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics’ facility in Fort Worth. The F-35 Master Internships give students from Aarhus University the opportunity to learn, explore, and acquire valuable and different skills than those taught at the university during five months of full work in the aerospace industry.

The idea comes from The Netherlands, where Delft University of Technology together with Fokker Technologies and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has been running the F-35 internships since 2004 with huge success.

The F-35 Master Internship was officially launched in Denmark on Friday, 3 October in Aarhus. Beforehand, a thorough selection process took place to find two students for the first internships. Yung Lee, Director, International Business Development, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, and Steen M Lynenskjold, senior vice president, Terma, presented the candidates and talked about the possibilities the internships provide.

“Lockheed Martin is honoured to have these talented Aarhus University students join the F-35 Program Team.” said Yung Le. “This is a great learning opportunity for them, and in their roles, they will bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the production, operations and quality engineering organizations.”
