The VCO spans the full frequency range within the operating band of 1000 to 2000 MHz with only 1 to 16 V of DC tuning voltage, with tuning linearity of typically less than 65 percent off-linear. The VCO model offers good phase noise characteristics along with narrow variation in performance over the specified temperature range. The phase noise at 1 kHz offset from the carrier is typically better than -73 dBc/Hz, -102 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, -122 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset and -142 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset. Size: 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.22".

Compact VCO

The SMV1204L compact voltage-controlled oscillator is ideal for mobile radio applications. An addition to a series of products designed for applications where power consumption is the tantamount consideration, the SMV1204L generates frequencies between 1185 and 1221 MHz within 0.5 to 2.25 VDC of control voltage and is designed for the toughest outdoor applications as it is guaranteed to operate over the temperature range of -20° to 70°C. This device exhibits a clean spectral signal of -98 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz from the carrier. The second harmonic is attenuated to better than -10 dBc. Size: 0.30" x 0.30" x 0.08". Price: $15.95 each. Delivery: stock to four weeks.

TEST EQUIPMENT

Four-port Modules

The 36584 series AutoCal® modules provide fast, repeatable and high quality coaxial calibration for two-, three- and four-port S-parameter requirements. The precisely characterized AutoCal modules decrease downtime on the manufacturing line by requiring only a single connection instead of the separate short, open, load, thru (SOLT) connections of a manual calibration. AutoCal modules are good alternatives to SOLT calibrations because they deliver more repeatable calibrations, which translates into increased throughput, lower manufacturing costs and improved yield by avoiding mistakes caused by improper manual calibration procedures. The 36584 series covers the 10 MHz to 9 GHz frequency range and can be used with Scorpion" vector network measurement systems. Price: $7,900.00. Delivery: eight weeks ARO.
