The EuMW Gala Dinner will now be held on Tuesday, 12 September, with the EuMW2006 Welcome Reception now being held on Wednesday, 13 September.

Due to a football fixture just being announced, the Gala Dinner (being held at Old Trafford Football Ground) has moved to Tuesday, the 12th, and the EuMW2006 Welcome Reception has moved to Wednesday, the 13th.

Wedgewood Visitors Centre and Gladstone Potteries Museum, September 12 www.eumw2006.com/social_events.html This full-day trip will be accompanied by an official Manchester (Blue Badge) Guide and will take visitors to the Wedgewood factory www.wedgewood.com, home of one of the most famous names in the world of china and porcelain. The trip will include visits to the Wedgewood exhibition and film theatre that will outline the history of the company followed by a factory tour that will enable visitors to see the production of the famous tableware and demonstrations of many aspects of the potter's art. The trip will also include a visit to the Gladstone Potteries Museum. Departure: 9.30 a.m. Return: 5.30 p.m. Lunch included.

Chatsworth House and the Peak District, September 14th www.eumw2006.com/social_events.html This is a full-day trip to visit Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, travelling through the Peak District accompanied by an official Manchester (Blue Badge) Guide. Chatsworth is one of the most beautiful stately homes in the UK, parts of which date back to the 16th century. This magnificent house is set in a beautiful estate of 35,000 acres, part of which was landscaped by Lancelot (Capability) Brown in the 18th century. The trip through the Peak District will also include a stop in the picturesque village of Tideswell, which is mentioned in William the Conqueror's Domesday Book. Departure: 9.30 a.m. Return: 5.30 p.m. Lunch included.
