This year's local 2006 IEEE MTT chapter symposium in Israel, Hertzlia, held on May 8, 2006, was a great success with 43 oral topics and seven posters (compared to a total of 34 oral topics and posters in 2005), and was well attended with more than 400 attendees (compared to about 300 attendees in 2005).

The auditorium (microwave session) filled its 300 seats and the antennas session packed in 80 attendees. The exhibition included 37 booths (compared to 19 in 2005).

Some of the speakers came from the US (Dr. James Rautio - Sonnet President, IEEE distinguished lecturer and Mr. Hershtig, K&L Vice President), Italy (Dr. Emanuel Leroux, CST), Germany (Prof. F. Arndt - Bremen University) and Romania (from Alvarion Romania).
