CTIA WIRELESS 2009 is the largest and most comprehensive US trade show in the wireless industry so it should be a prime trade show for RF/microwave professionals and companies. But many of the smaller RF/microwave component and test companies have left the show because it became so large, expensive and consumer oriented. However, we should take advantage of this situation and attend/exhibit because most of the large OEMs who are our biggest customers are there along with their customers, the consumers and service providers. What better opportunity than to meet with your customers and their customers at the same time to learn about their present and future needs.
Microwave Journal has organized this first ever RF/Microwave Pavilion at CTIA Wireless 2009. The new pavilion congregates companies in the RF/Microwave field in one location at the event to create a dynamic presence (in low cost, furnished booths). So now you can attend or exhibit at the show and enjoy learning about the latest developments in the RF/microwave industry along with the OEMs they serve.
Meeting with this wide variety of companies in one place can often give keen insight into future developments. We often hear from attendees at RF/microwave industry specific shows that they are not very successful from a business perspective because the audience is primarily their competitors so only the technical portion is worthwhile. So shows like CTIA Wireless offer exposure to new companies and industries and how RF/microwave companies can best serve those industries.
The RF/microwave Pavilion is located on a main isle next to the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Zone that features companies with pioneering wireless M2M services and products. M2M is hosting seminars and presentations on Asset Tracking, Sustainable M2M Investments and Open Wireless Initiatives that you might be interesting in attending.
I hope to see you there!
