What Is There to Lose in Antenna Systems

March 13, 2024

Short answer: A lot if it's not well thought through!

Long answer: Losses occur when the signal strength decreases as it travels through the antenna system. There are many types of possible losses, for example dielectric losses, conductive losses, environmental losses, radiation losses, transition/connector losses etc. To achieve the most efficient antenna system, one should invest proper time into simulation (including environment) and testing.
