How do inductive sensors work? A look into their technical inner life and their evolution over the last decennia with Sorin Fericean

Sorin Fericean’s book is titled Inductive Sensors for Industrial Applications and primarily deals with sensors containing inductive primary sensing elements, and that is because the “Inductive” is one of most widely used in the market and also due to the fact that the author acted mainly in the R & D, manufacturing and tests and marketing fields for inductive sensors for more than 25 years.

Innovative Integration announces new Rugged Digital Transceiver

The K706 Digital Transceiver from Innovative Integration supports two antenna inputs and four independent channels of DDC, two channels of DUC, and one spectrum analyzer embedded in a Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA. It supports monitoring and/or recording of wide- or narrow-band spectra or channelized IF band data. The analog front-end is modularized via an FMC site which, fitted with an FMC-1000, employs dual 1 GHz 14-bit ADCs and DACs. The product supports contiguous recording at 160 MByte/s to internal 1.8” SATA drives until running out of disk space.

Richardson RFPD announces live demos of new DFE and SDR solutions at IMS2016

Richardson RFPD has collaborated with Analog Devices (ADI) and New Edge Signal Solutions to develop digital front-end (DFE) radio solutions, including new wideband (6 to 24 GHz) SiGe up/down converters (ADRF6780, ADRF6880) and transceivers. The ADRF6780 and ADRF6880 enable simpler system architecture, especially for customers seeking to cover multiple bands from 6 to 24 GHz, by replacing narrow-band devices, using fewer components, offering higher system reliability, and using less board space.
