The purpose of this application note is to review a portion of the wireless technology and focus on a line of amplifiers that has been optimized for wireless test use. This analysis can also be applicable to some additional portion of wireless technology.
This White Paper provides a general overview of different military and commercial radar systems. It also covers some typical measurements on such systems and their components.
This white paper presents the basic idea behind software defined radio (SDR) and provides an overview of the Rohde & Schwarz radios and further details of SDR test and measurement solutions offered by Rohde & Schwarz.
The scope of the subject has
expanded in the recent years in terms of
its technical evolution and spreading of
applications. This application note along
with its corresponding white paper
1MA207 show how to use the R&S radar
product portfolio to tackle test and
measurement tasks in modern radar
technology. Target groups are students
who want to become familiar with radar
issues as well as radar professionals who
want to solve certain test and
measurement tasks.
Engineers who test mobile power amplifiers and front end modules are looking for ways to reduce test cost through maximizing throughput while ensuring that the devices meet required performance levels. This application note discusses these complex issues and recommended solutions using the Agilent PXI M9381A Vector Signal Generator as an example.
The new generation of AWGs can address a broad range of applications and test cases. This primer discusses characteristics and fundamentals of an arbitrary waveform generator and the different implementations available in the market.
Because coaxial cable assemblies are so vital to such a wide range of
systems, from rugged ground-based electronic systems to orbiting satellites in space, the selection process
for those cables should not be treated lightly. Choosing the right coaxial cable assembly is not a trivial task,
but it is one that can be made somewhat easier by better knowing what to look for in a high-frequency or
high-speed coaxial cable assembly.
This application note looks at VCO fundamentals, for typical oscillator designs through tuning sensitivity characteristics. Examples of a Colpitts and Clapp circuit are presented.
Testing at millimeter-wave frequencies brings new and different measurement challenges, so minimizing measurement uncertainty is critical in the development of these new technologies. This white paper discusses the challenges associated with millimeter-wave testing and how to optimize your Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurement capability to provide the confidence required to make performance/cost tradeoffs.
Dual-polarity supplies are commonly needed to operate
electronics such as op amps, drivers, or sensors,
but there is rarely a dual-polarity supply available at
the point of load. The LTCî3260 is an inverting charge
pump (inductorless) DC/DC converter with dual low
noise LDO regulators that can produce positive and
negative supplies from a single wide input (4.5V to
32V) power source. It can switch between high efficiency
Burst Modeî operation and low noise constant
frequency mode, making it attractive for both portable
and noise-sensitive applications.
