Title: EMC Regulations and Standards Overview

Date: June 20, 2023

Time: 8am PT / 11am ET

Sponsored by: AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation

Presented by: Dean Landers, Supervisor of Applications Engineering, AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation

Abstract:
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is a critical aspect of modern electronic systems, ensuring their proper functioning in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances. However, navigating the complex landscape of EMC regulations and standards can be challenging for engineers, designers, and manufacturers. In this webinar, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the different regulations and standards that exist around the world for EMC.

During the webinar, we will explore the global regulatory framework governing EMC, shedding light on key standards organizations and their roles. We will delve into the specifics of various EMC regulations, including regional directives such as CE Marking in Europe, FCC regulations in the United States, and other international standards. Additionally, we will examine industry-specific requirements and applications, such as medical devices, automotive electronics, aerospace systems, and wireless technologies.

By attending this webinar, participants will gain a solid understanding of the EMC regulatory landscape and its impact on product development and compliance. They will learn about the essential requirements for EMC testing, labeling, and certification, and how to navigate the regulatory process effectively. Moreover, we will discuss the significance of pre-compliance testing and EMC risk assessment, enabling participants to proactively address EMC challenges in their designs.
