Title: Simulation of THz Applications for Future Mobile Networks

Date: July 13, 2022

Time: 11am PT / 2pm ET

Sponsored by: COMSOL

Presented by: Tom Chen, Product Specialist, Electromagnetics, COMSOL

Abstract:
For future mobile networks — including the internet of things (IoT), internet of space (IoS), and internet of everything (IoE) — to achieve high-speed data transmission, wide-bandwidth communication systems are vital. As a result, terahertz (THz) technologies, combined with holography, virtual reality (VR), and extended reality (XR), are emerging as viable solutions to the high-data-rate communication requirement. In the THz regime, the demand for emulating physical phenomena virtually through simulation software has increased due to the complexity of fabrication and testing.

In this webinar, we will use the COMSOL Multiphysics® software to demonstrate efficient methods for simulating THz metamaterials and enhancing their spectral performance by tuning the physical structures.
