With more than 14 years of experience in the RF industry, Dr. Marc Sans Soler joined Ignion in 2021 to lead the innovative Ignion’s Antenna Intelligence Cloud project with the aim to speed up and simplify the antenna design of any IoT device using the game-changing Virtual Antenna® technology. Marc Sans Soler holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering, a master’s degree in electronics engineering and a PhD in telecommunications and electronics engineering, all those from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain.
He started his professional career in 2008 as an RF engineer in the RF tuner group at Sony-FTVE, Spain. In 2010 he moved to Mier Comunicaciones S.A., Spain, where his main task was the design of RF passive and active devices for DAB and DVB-T broadcasting units. On December 2015 he continued his career as an RF design engineer in Ampleon, Netherlands (former RF power division of NXP) where he was involved in the highly efficient power amplifier design for cellular base stations, and in 2018 he joined Qualcomm Netherlands as a handset RF Front-End module design engineer. In 2021 he joined Ignion as a Senior RF/Antenna Lead engineer.
Elias Ghafari is a Senior Field Applications Engineer at Richardson RFPD, where he is specialized in RF and Microwaves, in both passive and active components.
Elias has worked and earned over 25 years of experience hardware design experience at Kathrein Automotive (Continental) and Delphi Automotive prior to Richardson RFPD as a hardware design engineer designing antennas and RF modules for automotive applications. Those antennas and modules include Satellite Radio, GPS, Cellular, AM/FM and V2X applications. Elias earned 8 patents and published a few technical papers along with his colleagues during his design career.
Elias earned his PhD degree in Antennas and Electromagnetics from Oakland University in Rochester Hills in 2013 and his M.Sc and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada in 2003 and 1996 respectively. Elias published over 10 papers in the IEEE journal and RF and Microwaves magazine.
