Title: Defense Market Trends and Their Impacts on Semiconductor Technology

Date: September 1, 2021

Time: 8am PT / 11am ET

Sponsored by: Wolfspeed

Presented by: Eric Higham, Director of the Advanced Semiconductor Applications and the Advanced Defense Systems Services, Strategy Analytics

Abstract:
The defense market has been resilient in the face of the global pandemic. However, there are lingering uncertainties and developing trends that will influence the size and composition of this segment as global defense budgets head toward $2 trillion. We will discuss the uncertainties posed by developments like semiconductor chip shortages, the US-China trade tensions, the “Great Power Competition” and the new US administration. Considering these developments, this webinar will examine evolving philosophies, trends and forecasts for defense budgets, along with the most important segments for defense electronics. We will explore how semiconductors will enable and benefit from emerging trends in the defense industry and the webinar will close with thoughts and forecasts on RF compound semiconductor content in the defense industry.
