Eric Higham, Director of the Advanced Semiconductor Applications and the Advanced Defense Systems Services
Eric Higham is Director of the Advanced Semiconductor Applications and the Advanced Defense Systems Services at Strategy Analytics. He develops forecasts, insights and analysis to provide an understanding of the dynamics and trends for processes, materials and components in a variety of commercial and defense markets. He is an industry veteran with more than 42 years of semiconductor experience. Previously, he performed a variety of engineering, business development, marketing and management functions for M/A-COM, MicroDynamics and Raytheon. Eric holds an MSEE degree from Northeastern University and a BSEE degree from Cornell University.
Dave Sims, Product Manager, Semiconductors and Components
Dave Sims has worked at APITech for over 38 years and has significant experience in the production of components and two terminal semiconductor devices. Dave was part of the founding team that launched the space work at APITech, from the European Space Agency qualification of our diode line to qualification of hybrid components and MMIC-based solutions. He has participated in more than 50 programs which have enabled successful interplanetary missions like Cassini.
Dr. Jeorge Hurtarte, Wireless Product Marketing Strategist at Teradyne
Dr. Jeorge S. Hurtarte is the Wireless Product Marketing Strategist at Teradyne, Boston, USA. Dr. Hurtarte has held various technical and management positions at Teradyne, LitePoint, TranSwitch, and Rockwell Semiconductors. He holds Ph.D. and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering, an M.S. in telecommunications, and an M.B.A. Dr. Hurtarte has served on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Global Semiconductor Alliance, TUV Rheinland of North America, and the NSF’s Wireless Internet Center for Advanced RF Technology. He is the secretary of the IEEE 802.11ay task group. Dr Hurtarte is also professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz and at the University of Phoenix, Bay Area, California. He is also the lead co-author of the book Understanding Fabless IC Technology.

Matt Hammond, Oversees NewSpace and Satellite Business Development Activities
Matt Hammond began his electrical engineering career developing DSP algorithms for satellite modems. He then spent twenty years supporting wireless test and measurement applications, focusing on RF solutions in terrestrial and satellite wireless communications. He collaborated closely with global mobility chipset vendors for over ten years, supporting R&D and manufacturing. Matt currently oversees NewSpace and satellite business development activities for Rohde & Schwarz in North America.
Sean D’Arcy, Director – Aerospace and Defense
Sean D’Arcy has been a Director and part of the Analog Devices Aerospace and Defense Team since 2015. He leads a worldwide team dedicated to providing electronic solutions to customers, partners and end users in the Space, Aviation and Military markets. Sean has responsibility for High Reliability, Space and Integrated Product portfolios along with leading Marketing Communications and Government Relations for the division. He has over 100 publications, presentations and speaking engagements and he is based out of the Chelmsford, MA facility in the United States.
Richard Soden, Application Lead – Space and Satellite
Richard joined Keysight/Agilent in 2004 and has been supporting the Space and Satellite Industry since 2015. Previously Richard has worked with modular and benchtop instruments as well as software products for Big Physics, the characterization of wideband components, and most recently on the generation and analysis of wideband signals at microwave frequencies. Richard earned a Ph.D. in instrumentation and non-destructive testing from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UK).
