TiaLinx Launches Eagle30-P

August 31, 2010

TiaLinx Inc., a developer of mm-wave radars with integrated radio and antenna arrays, announced the launch of the Eagle30-P, a hand-held precision Sense-Inside-the-Wall Imager.

"The lightweight, ultra-wideband (UWB), multi-Gigahertz RF imager is based on a new signal processing capability and has been funded by a SBIR Phase II from the Army, PM CCS. The unit is capable of detecting wires, pipes and anomalies inside a wall and presenting their images in real-time. The Eagle30-P outperforms present Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technologies by using orders of magnitude less power over a larger frequency bandwidth. The system is an ideal solution for detecting trace reflections of small wires with few millimeters in diameter and within a wall at a standoff distance," said Fred Mohamadi, Founder and CEO of TiaLinx. "This new technology is being further miniaturized, and through system integration it will be cost effective and made available to the commercial market for complete imaging of the internal structures of a wall. The sensors are ideal to trace pipes and wires within a wall; hence, it is a great asset for the construction industry and utility companies."

The small foot-print imager is very versatile. For example, it can be mounted on a tripod to map the layout of a premise from the outside of a building.
