Crystek Launches 136 to 174 MHz Red Box VCO

July 23, 2009

Crystek's CRBV55FL-0136-0174 Red Box voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) operates from 136 to 174 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5~4.5V. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -123 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and has excellent linearity. Output power is typically +9 dBm.

Crystek’s Red Box line comprises VCOs enclosed in a robust aluminum enclosure (1.25” x 1.25” x 0.58”) with SMA connectors, enhancing the VCO’s durability and making integration of a VCO into any application an easy, plug-and-play option.

Engineered and manufactured in the US, the model CRBV55FL-0136-0174 features an input voltage of 5 V, with a max current consumption of 25 mA. Pulling and Pushing are minimized to 1.0 MHz and 1.0 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is -20 dBc typical.

The CRBV55FL-0136-0174 Red Box VCO is ideal for use in applications such as telecommunications, computers, radio equipment, base stations and other electronic applications.
