The HMC430LP4 provides a +2 dBm buffered output and low phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset over 5.0 to 5.5 GHz. The HMC431LP4 provides a +2 dBm buffered output and low phase noise of -102 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz phase noise offset over 5.5 to 6.1 GHz. The phase noise performance of both products is good over temperature, shock and process due to the monolithic structure of the oscillators.

Amplifier/Doubler/Amplifier

The ADA0306 is an amplifier/doubler/amplifier that doubles a 3 to 6 GHz input to 6 to 12 GHz. A +5 to +8 dBm input is converted to a typical output of +14 dBm. The ADA0306 is designed for the communications market and is available in both connectorized and carrier outlines. The ADA0306 has typical fundamental and third harmonic suppressions of 20 dBc. The supply requirement is +5 V at 100 mA.

Direct Synthesizer

The PTS 1600 is a direct synthesizer, combining analog and digital technologies. It has good close-in phase noise as well as the ability to switch rapidly from one frequency to another. High speed remote control is provided through the standard TTL-level parallel interface port, but for easy integration into testing environments a GPIB interface is also available. By employing dedicated control hardware, the GPIB interface still provides 50 ms or better frequency switching. The PTS 1600 features a keyboard and LCD display, with resolution of 1 Hz. It reproduces the accuracy and stability of an internal frequency standard or accepts 5 or 10 MHz external standards. Price: $10,000. Delivery: 12 weeks ARO.

Dual Crystal Oscillators

These calibrated dual crystal oscillators (CDXO) feature stability of ±0.1 ppm over an industrial temperature range of -40° to 85°C. These oscillators are available with frequencies from 8 to 50 MHz. The CDXO has good phase noise performance under vibration, with a G-sensitivity of less than 0.5 ppb/G. This part has no frequency perturbations, and good vibration and shock performance under dynamic conditions. It can be surface-mounted and has reflow compatibility. The CDXO has low power consumption and requires less than 3.0 mA, and the supply voltage ranges from 2.7 to 5.0 V. Size: 5.6 x 18.3 x 11.8 mm. Price: $40.00.

Voltage-controlled Oscillator

The model V810ME06 is a voltage-controlled oscillator that has been designed for the portable radio market. The V810ME06 generates frequencies covering 760 to 860 MHz within only 0.5 to 4.5 VDC of tuning and has a 1.1 linearity over frequency and temperature. This VCO exhibits a clean spectral signal of -107 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz from the carrier while offering the end user nominally -4±1 dBm of output power into a 50 W load. The V810ME06 output power has little variance across all frequencies, while operating at a fixed temperature. Size: 0.50" x 0.50" x 0.13". Price: $15.95 (5). Delivery: stock to six weeks.

SUBSYSTEM

Environmentally Controlled Cabinet

The NEMA Type 3R rated environmentally controlled cabinet (ECC) can extend the life of critical microwave systems, radio equipment, DC power systems and more by avoiding extreme temperature changes. The ECC consists of an internal rack suitable for 19" or 23" rack mounted equipment and optional insulation. The optional air conditioner provides a cool, dehumidified environment for electronic equipment with a "closed-loop" design. The forced air heater works with the air conditioner to provide complete climate control, no matter what the weather. The optional insulation provides an extra layer of protection for temperature-sensitive equipment in extreme environments.
