IEEE WAMICON Announces the 2021 Virtual Conference Venue and Change in Conference Dates

February 22, 2021

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), announced the 21st annual event will take place virtually. The conference was originally planned as an in-person event and will still focus on relevant passive and active microwave technology. The conference dates have been revised to April 28-29, 2021 to enable greater preparation and participation, from the original dates of  April 14-16, 2021.

The conference will address up-to-date multidisciplinary research needs and interdisciplinary aspects of wireless and RF technology.

The central theme of WAMICON 2020/2021 will be "Wireless Devices and Systems Making Mad Connections from Space to the 5G IoE." Submissions on all aspects of related technologies, including antennas, passive and active circuits, communication theory and system concepts are welcome.

The program includes presentations, as well as special sessions. Accepted authors will present their original and high-quality work at WAMICON 2021, with publication in IEEE Xplore.

The online event will also include a virtual exhibition with industry presentations and multiple opportunities for networking and lively discussion. Exhibition and sponsor positions are still available for those that wish to participate.

“As wireless and microwave technologies continue to grow in importance in our everyday lives, engineers make advancements in segments, such as Space and IoE to find ways to increase data rates, increase efficiency, and more effectively use the spectrum available.” said General Chair Quenton Bonds. He added, “While we would prefer to meet in-person, we have a great team assembled to enable you to participate virtually. We look forward to seeing you in April!”
