MATERIALS

Thick Film Materials

This complete system of thick film materials is specifically designed for aluminum nitride (AlN) substrates. These materials provide a cost-effective solution to making hybrid circuits able to withstand high thermal loads versus conventional alumina substrates. Thick film materials also provide a more cost-effective alternative to thin film metallization systems. Aluminum nitride substrates are more environmentally friendly and safer to produce than circuits based on beryllium oxide substrates. Thick film materials for AlN substrates enable the design and production of circuits with higher heat stress resistance. In the fast growing telecommunications market, use of thick film on AlN substrates enables low cost, high volume manufacture of small, multifunction RF equipment, basestations and optoelectronic modules.
