Arralis Technologies Announces Expansion into the US

July 1, 2019

On August 1, Arralis Technologies plans to open an office in the U.S., located in Daytona Beach, Florida, at the John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Research Park.

Arralis CEO and CTO Mike Gleaves said, “This expansion will allow us to bring our world-leading 94 GHz products to a significant new marketplace. Over time, the Arralis facility in Daytona Beach will employ design engineers, skilled technicians and high-reliability manufacturing specialists.” Gleaves said the high-tech manufacturing environment and large pool of skilled engineers “made our choice of location an easy decision.”

Arralis is based in Limerick, Ireland, with designers in Belfast and Manchester and business development and sales staff in Harwell, U.K. The company develops MMICs, packaged components, antennas and integrated front-ends for radar and communications, focusing on the mmWave bands. Among the applications Arralis targets: satellite communications, military and space science.

According to an article published by Embry-Riddle University, the Florida community recruited Arralis, beginning with discussions at the 2018 Farnborough International Airshow. The U.S. expansion was jointly announced by Arralis and Embry-Riddle at the 2019 Paris Air Show on June 17.

“Arralis is a perfect fit for Florida’s space triangle. Their products are defining the future of global radar and wireless communications.” — University President P. Barry Butler
