Mercury Receives $41.4M Order for Small Form Factor RF Transceivers

April 2, 2019

Mercury Systems has received a $41.4 million follow-on order from a defense prime contractor for miniaturized and ruggedized custom microwave transceivers which will be used in an unnamed advanced weapons program. The order was booked in the curren quarter, ending March 2019, and will be shipped over the next several years. The transceivers will be manufactured in the company’s advanced microelectronic centers using the company’s fully automated assembly and test systems.

“Receiving this prominent order from our valued defense prime contractor customer further validates Mercury’s role as a long-term trusted partner to successfully commercialize innovations that matter to our national defense infrastructure.” — Charlie Leader, senior vice president and general manager of Mercury’s Advanced Microelectronics Solutions group

Mercury leverages its expertise in advanced packaging technologies to address the most demanding performance requirements constrained by size, weight and power (SWaP), without sacrificing manufacturability, performance or affordability. Mercury’s engineering staff co-located with manufacturing teams enable designs to transition smoothly from development to production. The combination of design and manufacturing capabilities in each facility provides a single source for defense primes needing to reduce supply chain complexity and risk.
