Custom MMIC's Wideband GaN LNA Operates with High Input Power Survivability

October 31, 2018

Custom MMIC has just released the CMD290, a wideband GaN low noise amplifier (LNA) MMIC well-suited for applications requiring low noise figure and high power survivability.

The CMD290 operates from 2 to 26 GHz, with a 2.3 dB noise figure, 12.5 dB gain and +19 dBm 1 dB compression point at 13 GHz. Because the LNA is fabricated with GaN, it survives an RF input power level of 2 W.

Matched to 50 Ω, the LNA does not require input or output matching, and no DC blocks are required. The CMD290 is available in die form and is fully passivated to protect from moisture and increase reliability.
