Packaged Broadband Millimeter-wave Amplifiers
The models AB028H1-14 and AB038H1-14 high gain amplifiers are designed for 23 to 30 GHz and 36 to 41 GHz, respectively. The AB028H1-14 features 36 dB of gain, +16 dBm of output power and 3 dB of noise figure. The AB038H1-14 offers 30 dB of gain, +16 dBm of output power and 4 dB of noise figure. Both amplifiers operate from a single voltage supply, thereby simplifying bias requirements. The series also includes variable-gain amplifiers (AB028V1-14) and low noise amplifiers (AA028N1-99 and AA038N1-99). Price (AA028N1-99): $30.98 (10,000).

Broadband RF Amplifier
The model 150A400 broadband RF amplifier is designed for laboratory applications that require instant bandwidth, high gain and moderate output power. The 100 kHz to 400 MHz amplifier is well suited for bulk current injection applications for conducted immunity in the automotive industry as well as antennas and component immunity testing and wattmeter testing. Its load tolerance makes it ideal for harsh test environments where SWR exceeds 6.0. The amplifier also features a digital control panel with built-in IEEE and RS-232 interface. When used with an RF sweep generator, the amplifier provides 150 W of swept power (min). Push-pull MOSFET circuitry lowers distortion, improves stability and allows operation into any load impedance without damage. Price: $16,000.

869 - 894 MHz Power Modules
The 200 W QuikPAC™ power modules for the 869 to 894 MHz band enable the development of very high power amplifiers by reducing the number of individual stages that must be combined to achieve power levels in excess of 400 W. The power modules solve the problem of matching to the very low impedance of high power transistors with the combination of a new, specially designed XeMOS MOSFET transistor and innovative impedance matching circuits. Other features of the QuikPAC power modules include single-polarity operation, 50 W RF interfaces, high gain and low intermodulation distortion.

Hub-mount Traveling-wave Tube Amplifiers
These hub-mount traveling-wave tube amplifiers are specifically designed for uplink service in satellite news gathering, very small aperture terminals, high data rate Internet protocol connectivity and other small terminal applications. The rugged units are available in Ku-band at 80 and 125 W and in C-band at 170 W and feature forward power metering. (The Ku-band unit also features a standard reverse power metering and an internal output isolator.) All hub mounts have standard serial interface and ship with a PC-driven graphical user interface for complete PA control and full operational data capture.

400 W Feedforward Power Amplifier
The cellular 400 W feedforward power amplifier (FFPA) system utilizes feedforward technology and simultaneously transmits multiple AMPS, CDMA, TDMA and 3G modulation formats with intermodulation distortion greater than 65 dBc. Each of the system’s four FFPAs is capable of delivering 120 W of output power and up to four FFPAs can be combined for a maximum power of 400 W. The system’s blind mate rack-mount construction meets all specifications over a DC input range of 24 to 28 V DC. Operating temperature range is 0° to 50°C and typical applications include base station enhancements to accommodate increases in range and/or capacity.
