AMPLIFIERS

Masthead Amplifier
The model G3 masthead amplifier features a noise figure typically better than 1.4 dB and can increase the receive sensitivity of the base station significantly, eliminating imbalance and improving effective range and quality of coverage. Planning a new GSM1800 or PCS1900 network with the unit could result in a reduction of more than 40 percent in the number of base stations needed to achieve coverage. Installing the amplifier on existing networks increases the quality of service available to subscribers in automobiles and buildings.

GSM Amplifier
The model AMT-1930-028 class A/B GSM amplifier is designed as a single-carrier unit that delivers 28 W of average power and gain of 54 dB. The variable gain control allows precise setting of gain and power out. The unit can be used in base stations as well as repeaters. Size: 12" x 3" x 1".

Class A Linear Amplifier
The model AR88258-50 class A linear amplifier operates from 800 to 2500 MHz with 50 W of output power at the P1dB. Gain is 47 dB (min) with typical two-tone intermodulation distortion of –30 dBc. The unit’s operating temperature range is from 0° to +50°C. Size: 8.75" x 19.00" x 22.00".

2.5 GHz RF Detector
The model AD8313 2.5 GHz RF detector directly converts high frequency modulated RF signal envelopes into accurate, temperature-stable DC signals. The unit offers a 65 dB dynamic range and +/-1 dB accuracy. The RF envelope of the input waveform (typically a modulated signal) is detected and amplified in a linear approximation to the logarithmic function. The output is a DC signal, representing the logarithm of the input signal envelope. The detector is packaged in a micro-SO 8 package and operates with a power supply as low as 2.7 V up to 5.5 V. In addition, operating current is 12 mA (typ) and operating temperature range is from –40° to +80°C. Price: $7.90 (1000).

100 W C-band Amplifier
This 100 W satellite communications C-band amplifier offers a compact size and is designed for installation directly onto the antenna feed mount. The amplifier withstands severe environments without the need for outdoor enclosures and is configured with an environmentally sealed coax or waveguide output. Specifications include a frequency range of 5.850 to 6.425 GHz, 1 dB compression point (P1dB) of +50 dBm (min), gain of 60 dB (max), gain flatness of +/-0.75 dB (max), noise figure of 10 dB (max) input SWR of 1.5 (nom) and output SWR of 1.3 (nom). Size: 14.00" x 6.95" x 1.75" (without optional heatsink and fans).

Ku-band LNA
This Ku-band LNA features a frequency range of 12.2 to 12.7 GHz, gain of 39 dB (min) and 42 dB (max) at 23°C and an optimal flatness of +/-0.5 dB (max). In addition, noise figure is 1 dB (typ) at 23°C, power output is 0 dBm and third-order intercept is +10 dBm (typ). Removable SMA (F) connectors are available as an option.
