SUBSYSTEMS

RF Fiber Link Solution
The model 2204 RF link solution supports four RF-over-fiber links (in a 1U rack chassis) used for the high quality transport of signals in the 10 MHz to 2 GHz bandwidth range. Weatherproofed outside enclosures are also available. The unit is a connectorized, ready-to-use solution for PCS, GSM and cellular antenna remoting. Other applications include use in L-band satellite communications up/down links, 70 or 140 MHz IF links and in-building microcell distribution.

DC Power Module
This DC power module features a front panel that simultaneously indicates watts, volts and amperage delivered to the load, and interlock alarm status. All configurations are software based and can be performed at any time from the front panel. The module's user-friendly design features no internal serviceable parts, thus the unit never needs to be removed from the electronics rack. The module's half-rack design allows two units to be connected in tandem to provide full-rack configuration. The unit operates from an internal PID controller or remote external 4 to 20 mA source. Load matching output is 0 to 120 V DC at 0 to 25 A, peaking at 1250 W total.

Integrated Amplitude Control Modules
These highly integrated microwave assemblies are composed of MMIC amplifiers, a high dynamic range PIN diode attenuator and a PIN diode-based switched filter assembly. The modules cover frequency ranges from 2 to 18 GHz and feature high gain with a 1 dB gain compression point of more than +15 dBm. The switched filter and attenuator switching speed is less than 1 ms with harmonic content 60 dB down. Compact packaging of less than 6.5" x 3.0" x 1.0" is available.

Ku-band Frequency Converter Modules
The MTS4000 series synthesized frequency converters measure only 5.00" x 11.00" x 1.44" and can be used to perform redundant or simultaneous up-/downconversion in a single 19" 1RU converter assembly. The series offers models covering the 13750 to 14500 MHz uplink frequency band, as well as the 10700 to 11800 MHz and 11700 to 12755 MHz downlink frequency bands. Price: less than $3600 in volume quantities.

Solid-state Ka-band Repeater
This solid-state Ka-band repeater extends the coverage of an local multipoint distribution transmitter, operating from 27.5 to 28.5 GHz with an active gain of 30 to 75 dB. An optional transmit antenna offers a gain of 10 to 30 dB. The operating temperature range is from -20° to +70°C and 120/240 V AC is required.

0.5 - 18 GHz Microwave Tuner
The model RT-0518SV microwave tuner operates over the 0.5 to 18 GHz frequency range, providing good performance for signal collection and monitoring. The direct digital synthesis-based architecture enables phase-locked scans and 10 Hz frequency tuning resolution with improved phase noise over conventional tuner designs. Simultaneous 160 MHz and 1 GHz IF outputs provide IF bandwidths of 75 and 500 MHz, respectively. The tuner is available as a stand-alone unit or as part of the company's model SCR-2900DE electronic intelligence system.
