Harmonic Quadrature Modulator
The DBE series quadrature modulator offers 50 dB carrier suppression for digital radio applications. This rejection is derived from a harmonic mixing approach that minimizes the phase degradation to less than 0.5° due to the carrier. Supporting output frequencies in bands from 5 to 15 GHz, the harmonic operation requires only half the LO frequency, reducing the cost of the phase-locked source. Typical conversion loss is 8.5 dB with the third harmonic suppressed an additional 23 dB.

Surface-mount Ceramic Chip Carriers and Packages
These chip-scale packages are designed for use in silicon and GaAs ICs, MMICs, RF power amplifiers and other devices. The ceramic chip carriers combine the company’s plated copper-on-ceramic technology with thick films (including resistors). Thermal and/or hermetic vias with plated-up heat spreaders ensure good thermal management. These ceramic packages carry multiple die, are wire bondable and can be provided in multi-image arrays. Products operate from –55° to +150°C. Operating in megahertz and gigahertz frequencies and meeting high speed switching requirements, these new ceramic packages serve as high density interconnect tools that are suited for meeting the growing demands of the RF, microwave and wireless communication markets.
