Component Technology
The company's new Innovate Technology (IT) has been integrated into many new-generation frequency mixers, splitters, couplers and transformers. This original patent-pending design incorporates novel construction features, including a profile as low as 0.078" in height with footprints that are the same as existing components, which is particularly significant for compact designs where height-limiting factors are critical. In the IT design, the circuit is mounted inside the cover, held in position with chip bonder and tested only once using the company's robotic test setup. Terminations are attached to the top of the case and connections are welded close to the package leads, resulting in an improvement in high frequency electrical performance due to shorter connection lengths. The absence of the unit's bottom supporting plate provides the space necessary to allow aqueous wash to thoroughly drain during washing cycles. Leads are solder plated for good solderability. Tape-and-reel packaging is available.
