Custom MMIC, (www.CustomMMIC.com), a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), announces the addition of the CMD190 to its growing MMIC library of standard products. The CMD190 is a highly efficient GaAs MMIC ultra low noise amplifier for applications from 33 to 45 GHz. This amplifier delivers greater than 19 dB of gain with a corresponding noise figure of 2.1 dB at 36 GHz. The CMD190 is an all-positive bias design, thus eliminating the complicated and costly negative bias sequencing circuits while also simplifying board layout. In addition, the use of an on-chip pinch-off tracking circuit ensures consistent performance over temperature and process variation.

The CMD190 is a 50 ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. It offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection.

Suitable applications for the CMD190 include: point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, as well as military and space applications.
