TMD Technologies to exhibit at IMS 2013

May 24, 2013

A wide range of amplifiers, transmitters, microwave power modules (MPMs), travelling wave tubes and high voltage power supplies will be on display by TMD Technologies at this year's IEEE International Microwave Symposium in Seattle, WA, USA.

The UK manufacturer will be displaying its pulsed and continuous wave (CW) microwave power modules for radar, EW and communications. These ultra-compact lightweight devices provide high efficiency and reliability and are fully integrated, making installation simple and safe.

TMD's high power, fast warm, Ku band travelling wave tubes (TWTs) will also be highlighted. The PT6789, for example, operates at the top of the Ku radar band and provides a peak power as high as 1000 W. It also offers a high duty ratio of up to 33%, at very high pulse repetition frequencies.

Visitors to the stand will have an opportunity to speak to Mike Farley, the new CEO of TMD's recently formed US subsidiary TMD Technologies LLC. The Baltimore based company will offer significant benefits to US customers, bringing local technical support, dealing with export compliance and handling classified interchanges.

As well as equipment for radar, EW and communications applications, TMD will be displaying its instrumentation TWTAs for high intensity RF EMC testing and other laboratory applications, and in particular its new ultra high power range operating above 10 kW.

The company can be found on Stand 1936 at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium Exhibition on 2-7 June 2013, Seattle, WA, USA. Symposium web site: www.ims2013.org
