July 9, 2012

Hirose Electric, a leader in the development of connector solutions, has named Kazunori Ishii as president. Kazunori Ishii began working at Hirose in April of 1982, and has since served as deputy chief director of engineering, deputy chief director of sales, and senior managing director. Ishii holds a BA degree from Komazawa University.

Former president Tatsuro Nakamura has been appointed as the Hirose Electric chairman of the board, in addition to serving as representative director. Nakamura joined the company in 1969 and has held numerous positions within Hirose Electric and its subsidiaries before assuming the role of President in 2000.

In a brief statement written by Tatsuro Nakamura in regard to the promotion of Kazunori Ishii, he stated his “sincere gratitude for the extraordinary kindness” shown while he was President. “As the following president, Mr. Kazunori Ishii, assumes the post, I would like to ask all of you to please provide even greater support and guidance for his efforts,” Nakamura continued.
