High Linearity, Low Noise I/Q Converters

RFRX1701RFMD adds four new high linearity, low noise I/Q converters for 17 to 27 GHz applications.

Four new MMIC upconverter and downconverter devices from RFMD offer high performance and low cost for high frequency applications. The RFUV1702 and RFUV1703 upconverters incorporate an integrated frequency multiplier (x2), LO buffer amplifier, a balanced single sideband (image rejection) mixer followed by variable gain amplifier, and DC-decoupling capacitors. The RFRX1701 and RFRX1702 downconverters incorporate an image rejection mixer, LO buffer amplifier, and integrated LNA. Each device is packaged in a 5 x 5mm QFN to simplify both system-level board design and volume assembly.

The combination of high performance and low cost packaging makes each of these devices a cost effective solution, ideally suited for point-to-point radio and satellite communications.

  • RF Frequency - RFUV1702: 17.7 to 19.7 GHz and RFUV1703: 21 to 26.5GHz

  • RF Frequency - RFRX1701: 17.7 to 26.5 GHz and RFRX1702: 17.75 to 19.7 GHz
  • LO Frequency - RFRX1701: 6.85 to 15.25 GHz and RFRX1702: 6.85 to 11.85 GHz
  • IF Frequency: DC to 4 GHz
  • Conversion Gain - RFRX1701: 13 dB and RFRX1702: 12 dB
  • Noise Figure - RFRX1701: 2.5 dB and RFRX1702: 2 dB
  • IIP3: 6 dBm
  • Image Rejection: 15 dBc
