New Low Noise Programmable Dividers for Signal Generation Wideband Dividers Feature SSB Phase Noise as Low as -158 dBc/Hz
Chelmsford, MA, 08/26/10 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of two new ultra low noise programmable frequency dividers which are ideal for use in signal generation architectures found in test equipment, laboratory systems and various military applications that operate from 100 MHz to 15 GHz.
The HMC862LP3E and HMC905LP3E are SiGe BiCMOS low noise programmable frequency dividers in SMT packages. The HMC862LP3E can be programmed to divide from N = 1, 2, 4, 8 in the 100 MHz to 15 GHz input frequency range. The HMC905LP3E can be programmed to divide from N = 1, 2, 3, 4 in the 400 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range.
The HMC862LP3E has very low phase noise of -153 dBc/Hz at offset frequencies greater than 100 kHz, wide frequency range, and flexible division ratio making it ideal for high performance, wideband communications systems. The HMC905LP3E has high level output power of up to 6 dBm single ended, with a very low SSB phase noise of -158 dBc/Hz at offset frequencies greater than 100 kHz, and 50% duty cycle which makes it ideal for low noise clock generation, LO generation, and LO drive applications. The HMC905LP3E also incorporates configurable bias and output power controls, as well as a power down feature. Both HMC862LP3E and HMC905LP3E provide good input to output isolation and fast start up time.
The HMC862LP3E and HMC905LP3E are each conveniently housed in a miniature 3x3 mm RoHS compliant QFN leadless SMT package and are specified for operation over -40°C to +85°C.
