- Buyers Guide
Nujira Ltd., the world’s leader in Envelope Tracking (ET) technology, will be presenting new performance results at the IEEE MTT International Microwave Symposium (IMS) this week demonstrating that the company has bettered its own world record linearity mark for an RF Power Amplifier (PA) operating under ET conditions.
TriQuint Semiconductor Inc., a leading RF solutions supplier and technology innovator, announced 15 new gallium nitride (GaN) amplifiers and transistors along with two new GaN processes. These products offer performance, size and durability advantages for communications, radar and defense RF systems. TriQuint innovation will be displayed at the IEEE IMS / MTT-S convention and exhibition in Seattle, Washington, June 4-6, Booth 530.
Linear Technology announces the LTC3639, a 150V input-capable synchronous buck converter that delivers up to 100mA of continuous output current. It operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 150V, eliminating the need for an external transient suspension device. The LTC3639 utilizes internal synchronous rectification and a programmable peak current-mode design to optimize efficiency over a broad range of output currents.
Auriga Microwave, an innovator in the design of high-powered RF and microwave devices, announces that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted a patent for technology that will make the control circuit design much simpler for high-power RF switches used in many communication systems.
Skyworks Solutions Inc., an innovator of high performance analog semiconductors enabling a broad range of end markets, is ramping several antenna tuning products with leading smartphone manufacturers. Skyworks’ devices are meeting the market demand for tunable antennas which dramatically improve performance by increasing data throughput, reducing dropped calls and minimizing the antenna footprint needed for today’s multiband LTE smartphones.
Linear Technology announces the LS8 reference family, a series of hermetic precision voltage references packaged in a 5 x 5 mm surface mount, low stress ceramic package. These precision voltage references offer outstanding long term stability and consistent predictable behavior, over time and operating conditions. For instrumentation that demands the best possible performance over years or decades of operation, the LS8 package offers an alternative to large metal can or ceramic DIP packages.
Linear Technology announces the LTC6090, a precision operational amplifier that operates on a supply voltage up to 140 V (or ±70 V). Its combination of rail-to-rail output, 3 pA (typical) input bias current, 1.6 mV maximum input offset voltage and 3.5 µVP-P low frequency noise delivers the precision required for high performance ATE, piezo driver, and DAC buffer applications.
International Manufacturing Services Inc. (IMS) introduces its line of HVI Series chip resistors especially suited for high voltage applications.
Linear Technology Corp. introduces the LTC4417, a triple-supply prioritized PowerPath™ controller for 2.5 to 36 V systems. The controller selects the highest priority valid supply among three inputs to power the load. Priority is defined by pin assignment, while a supply is considered valid after it has been inside a voltage window set by 1.5 percent accurate undervoltage and overvoltage thresholds for 256ms.
Hittite Microwave Corp. introduced a new successive detection log video amplifier (SDLVA) that operates over the full 1 to 20 GHz frequency range and carries a class 1A ESD rating (250 V HBM).
