Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that Plextek RF Integration, a UK-based  company that designs and develops RFICs, MMICs and microwave/millimeter-wave modules, has selected Agilent software to simulate its new high-frequency circuit and MMIC designs.

Plextek Ltd. has announced a restructuring of its business to separate the consultancy from several lines of business including Plextek RF Integration, Telensa, Blighter and Redtail Telematics.

In response to the growing requirement for high data rate wireless applications, Plextek Ltd. has extended its test and measurement facilities to 75 GHz capability. This includes increasing development activity at V-Band (50 to 75 GHz) and E-Band (60 to 90 GHz).

Plextek (www.plextek.com), a leading designer of custom ICs operating at microwave and mm-wave frequencies, will be presenting details of a low cost, SMT packaged, 6 to 18GHz, 0.5W amplifier integrated circuit (IC) at the International Microwave Symposium, the world’s largest microwave conference and exhibition.

Plextek Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korean firm Nuriplan Co. Ltd., for the supply of Blighter® electronic-scanning FMCW Doppler ground surveillance radars into the South Korean market, providing the company with a supply channel for its radar systems into the diverse Korean market.
