AWR Corp.and Zuken announce AWR Connected for Zuken™. This RF printed circuit board (PCB) verification flow simplifies the PCB design process and therefore shortens design cycles by enabling users to quickly and easily simulate and verify embedded RF functionality.

PCTEL Inc., a leader in simplifying wireless and site solutions for private and public networks, announced that it would combine the Antenna Products Group and Connected Solutions into PCTEL Connected Solutions. Jeff Miller, who has been promoted to President, Connected Solutions will manage that group's sales, marketing, product and business development, and engineering.

The number of Wi-Fi enabled devices shipped in 2012 is expected to surpass 1.5 billion. Growth is occurring across many markets including mobile handsets, laptops, media tablets, printers, TVs, and automotive. “Since 2009 over 9 billion Wi-Fi enabled devices have been shipped,” commented Peter Cooney, wireless connectivity practice director, “whilst growth was driven by networking in the early years the smartphone soon became the major market.
