What is the Webcast About?

Finding and measuring spurious signals is a common task and frequently a frustrating one. Measurements can take too much time, and accuracy for signals near an analyzer's noise floor is a particular challenge. This webcast describes how to structure measurements for efficient spur search, plus how to take maximum advantage of internal signal processing (such as fast averaging and noise floor subtraction) and other capabilities of modern signal analyzers. The paper also discusses optimizing the measurement tradeoffs between speed, dynamic range, and accuracy.

 

Who Should View this Webcast?

Engineers making spurious measurements, primarily in communications (both terrestrial and satellite) and aerospace/defense applications. Some will be making measurements on complete systems while others will be measuring components or subassemblies. This webcast applies both to front panel and ATE users.

 

Presenter

Ben Zarlingo, Application Specialist, Agilent Technologies Ben Zarlingo is an applications specialist for Agilent Technologies' signal analysis operation. He is primarily focused on signal analysis at RF through millimeter frequencies, including the characterization of wideband and digitally modulated signals and optimizing measurements for sensitivity and low noise.
