Title: Virtual Drive Testing Leverages Synergies in Measurement and Simulation

Date: October 25, 2018

Time: 8am PT / 11am ET

Sponsored by: The Microwave Vision Group (MVG)

Presented by: Lucia Scialacqua, Scientific Software Engineer in MVG

Abstract:
In this webinar, MVG addresses stimulating questions about virtual drive testing (VDT) including:

  1. "What are the main challenges of VDT today?"
  2. “What are the benefits of using tools combining measurement and simulation in VDT?"
  3. “How can automotive designers use the VDT technology to rapidly evaluate and compare a wide range of on-vehicle antenna solutions?”
  4. "How does MVG’s automotive testing solution help speed up vehicle design cycle?

In this complementary webinar, Lucia Scialacqua, Scientific Software Engineer in MVG, will give insight on the below topics:

  • NF vs FF testing
  • Automotive testing solution and examples
  • Advanced post-processing techniques
  • Link between Measurements with Simulations for Automotive
  • Virtual Drive Emulation and Measurements

Presenter Bio:

Lucia Scialacqua received her M.S. in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Siena, Siena, Italy in 2006.

She was a student under the Erasmus program at the Denmark Technical University (DTU) in Lyngby, where she developed her master thesis on design of reference probes for near-field antenna measurements in 2006. She joined MVG (formerly SATIMO) in 2007 as antenna engineer.

In MVG, she worked initially as antenna engineer for designing, testing of reference antennas and custom radiators under customer’s specifications. She worked as project manager of different projects involving antenna design and testing, antenna measurement and measured data post-processing.

She is now working as scientific SW department engineer, being technical responsible of the MVG software INSIGHT for measurement antenna post-processing, that uses the equivalent current reconstruction for antenna diagnostics and link with commercial numerical tools.

She has authored or co-authored more than 80 journal and conference papers on antenna design and measurement topics, 2 whitepapers and she has contributed to one book. She was speaker for 3 webinars on measurement antenna post-processing based on the equivalent current technique.
