To bring autonomous vehicles to roads and highways around the world, engineers will need to build a strong 5G network that moves volumes of data among a myriad of sensors at unprecedented speeds. This webinar will look at the challenges ahead and the avenues engineers are taking to get us to our destination.


Presenter Bios:

Jan Leuckfeld is Product Line Director Automotive at IDT. In his role he is responsible for the operative management of the Product Line. Jan has 15+ years experience in the international automotive and semiconductor industry. He received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the City University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Germany and a Master of Business Administration International Sales and Marketing Management from Landshut, German and San Diego, US.

Devashish Paul is a Director of Strategic Marketing for Systems Solutions at IDT, responsible for delivering data center and telecom solutions to end customers working with industry semiconductor and systems partners. He co chairs the HPC group in the Open Compute Project and in the past has been responsible for product management of IDT’s RapidIO interconnect products that now have 100% market share in 4G wireless macro base stations and helping form the backbone of future 5G networks. Over the past 2 decades he has run product lines in the semiconductor industry, at Tundra Semiconductor (acquired by IDT), Semiconductor Insights, Solidum Systems, Mosaid Semiconductor and Nortel. Prior to his commercial career, he had an eight year career in the Canadian Air Force where he was a systems engineer on the team that architected and specified the first airborne radar system for the Canadian Air Force achieving the rank of Capt and lead a team who architected the first synthetic aperture radar system of Canadian Airfleet deployment Devashish Paul has a Masters in Electrical Engineering in Digital Signal Processing and an MBA from the University of Ottawa. His Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is from the Royal Military College of Canada.
