Technical Education Webinar Series
Title: Making Noise Work For You
Date: February 25, 2016
Time: 8am PT/ 11am ET
Sponsored by: Noisecom
Presented by: Vitali Penso, Applications Engineer, Noisecom
Noise is the main culprit degrading circuit and system performance, so engineers need to develop a strategy to test their products’ and systems’ immunity to noise and interference. This webinar presents the basics of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). AWGN is the most commonly used noise for testing a system’s immunity to internally and externally generated noise and interference. We will also cover the most common applications where it is used.
Vitali Penso has been in the RF and microwave industry for over 20 years as a design, systems and application engineer. He supports Noisecom test solutions and covers a diverse range of applications including semiconductor, high speed serial data, advanced wireless communications, space and civilian and military aviation. He holds two patents in base station receiver architecture and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Washington University in St.
